Train Ride

We had a wonderful trip on the train to and from New York and New Jersey.
Ramona thought the train was very exciting especially when the lights on the train would turn off and on. She laughed.

What a Merry Day!

Ramona spent a part of the day in her new sweat suit from Andy and her new Hat from Grandma A! Thank You!

Ramona was visited from Santa via Montana/Worcester and he even made a stop downstairs to leave Ramona treats!  She felt very lucky to be so remembered.

Tomorrow she will go sledding in her new sled, in her new snow suit, and her new hat and later will fall asleep reading her wonderful collection of books.

CHRISTMAS

Hello Friends!

This has been such a fabulous year for the three of us. It has been wonderful to share our moments with you.
We are excited to have our first christmas with Ramona. For her, everything is fascinating and amazing. She really can't get over the tree in the house. I think she'll be sad when we take it out next week. I think I will too. Everything we've done to prepare for the holidays and the time we have spent with people we love has been better this year as we share it with Ramona.

Today, Christmas Eve, we finished baking cookies and played monopoly. Matthew won.
We dream of someday owning a home with a fireplace where we can hang our stockings and look at the warm flames while we sip cocoa. We don't have that in this wonderful home, but as an alternative we sat by our oven as it self cleaned today, and that was pretty nice too.

Snow

Ramona's first Christmas tree.

As the story goes,
Matthew and I and our little baby bucket piled into the ol'jalopy with good friend Beth in search of the finest Christmas tree in the world. or at least New England.

We went in circles all across this fine land until we found the perfect one, in a tree lot at Allandale farms....

In Ramona Quimby, she once received new pajama's and was so amazed at the softness and fluffiness of them that (usually had beezus's hand-me-downs) she wore them to school under her clothes....there is a whole chapter on how hot she got in the layers of clothing and the aftermath and you can read the book if your curious...

Our Ramona just got new jammies...she hasn't asked to wear them under her clothes but she does love them and is it possible that at 8 months...a baby knows when they look a-dorable in something?

So many new things in such a short time, parenting is a trip!
Ramona has suddenly noticed that books are more than a mouth toy!
Though with her top two teeth emerging, everything eventually becomes something to bite on...

She is doing wonderfully, we are doing wonderfully.

THANKSGIVING

Matthew and I are excited to have our first Thanksgiving with Ramona beginning with that fantastic parade you know I love SO SO SO MUCH!

As you can see from the picture, the rest of the weekend will be spent baby proofing!

With two babies napping on this wednesday,
The whole house feels silent and peaceful.

It is almost an exotic feeling these days as they are both teething!

I have time now to find my two favorite christening photo's then I'll close the book on that episode of the Ramona show.

We are staying home and doing NOTHING.

Working lunch

Ramona came to my school Monday! Kima brought the kids over during
lunch and we sat in my favorite bakery. Then I introduced her to one
of my classes. It made my week! The kids are still talking about it.

TUESDAY

So we are eagerly awaiting the first game of the world series...we have been playing out in the autumn weather.

I put up Ramona's swing today. She loves it but I am too nervous to walk away to get the camera so that will have to wait until her Papi is around. I am not really nervous she will fall/climb out but I PUT IT UP, so the whole thing could just fall out of the sky.....

MONDAY

This has been such an incredible week already with our beloved redsox heading to the World Series, i can't wait to see what is in store for us next!!!

Ramona is 6 months!
She prefer's sweet potato's over mixed veggies..
She prefer's strawberry,bannana,apple-sauce over everything.

She sits UP!!
She does not crawl, much to her frustration.

We are very happy, very proud and very excited for halloween.

We are keeping the costume under wraps until the final second...but I think your all going to love it.
